Lucknow is known for its rich heritage of architecture and culture. Still, with time the city has gone through many transitions, from being the land of Laxman to the land of Nawabs and the place which saw the infamous revolt of 1857, to being the 17th fastest-growing city in the country and 74th in the world, with development happening at such a fast rate the city is bound to go through some drastic change, with this project I attempted to understand and visualise the change that is happening in front of us. Keeping all that in mind, I thought of a theme of old vs new, where the city’s old heritage is juxtaposed with the modern lifestyle.
